 RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

Grades Kindergarten through 4th grade met the first full week in June for Religious Education classes. They meet for a full week during the summer instead of meeting during the school year.
111 youngsters were in attendance. Thirty-nine students in grades 2-5 received their First Communion on June 18.

There is an opportunity for those who missed that week to attend on Tuesdays at 1:00 pm with Fr. Greg Steckel.

You may now register for 2017-2018 religious education classes for grades 5-12 by clicking on the tab below.

There is a Spanish Class in preparation for Confirmation for older youth
(High School graduates and college students) meeting with Fr. Dennis Martin this summer.

Another group in English may form for older youth and adults by the middle of August to prepare for Confirmation. (High School graduates and college students)

A suggested donation of $20/child with a family maximum of $60 will be most appreciated to cover the expense of books and other materials. The suggested registration fee donation can be put in the mail or in the Sunday collection.
 - No child will be left out for inability to pay the suggested tuition donation.

First Communion - should be received when the children are 7 years old.

Please understand - that they should be in Religious Education from Kindergarten through Confirmation.

It is necessary to prepare them over a period of two years to receive 1st Communion.

So, if a child is already 7 years old and it is their first year of religious education this year, we will expect them to receive 1st Communion the following year (after their second year of religious education).
